Position Objectives:
Village of Carmacks is now accepting applications for 2 Summer Student positions in our Public Works Department. These roles are an excellent opportunity for students seeking hands-on experience in community operations and maintenance during the summer months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lawn and garden care throughout municipal grounds
- General maintenance tasks, both indoors and outdoors
- Support Public Works staff in the day-to-day operations of:
- The Landfill
- The Wastewater Treatment Plant
- Municipal buildings and facilities
- Parks and public spaces
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary education
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor work in various weather conditions
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
