The Village of Carmacks is excited to announce the 2024 Municipal Election!
This is a crucial time for our community as we come together to choose our future leaders. Your participation is vital for shaping the future of our village. Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming election:
Key Dates:
Nomination Period:
o Starts: September 19, 2024
o Ends: September 26, 2024, at noon.
o Details: Nomination forms can be obtained from the returning officer and must be filed by the deadline.
• Advance Poll:
o Date: October 10, 2024
o Details: An opportunity for early voting to accommodate all schedules.
• Election Day:
o Date: October 17, 2024
o Details: Polls will be open for all registered voters to cast their ballots and have their voices heard.

• Candidate Eligibility: Candidates must be Canadian citizens, at least 18 years old on election day, and residents of the municipality for at least one year preceding election day.
• Election Process: The election will include at least one advance poll on October 10, with the main election day on October 17, 2024.
