From Carmacks Volunteer Fire Department
The Village of Carmacks commends and thanks the Carmacks Volunteer Fire Department for their outstanding dedication and service. On September 11, our firefighters honoured the memory of 9/11 heroes by completing a memorial stair climb — 18 ascents of Five Finger Rapids, totalling 2,593 stairs, in full firefighting gear.
This extraordinary effort not only recognized the sacrifices made on 9/11, but also demonstrated the ongoing commitment of our local fire department to service, remembrance, and community spirit.
The Village of Carmacks is proud of our firefighters and grateful for their hard work, both in times of emergency and in their acts of remembrance.
Visitor Information Centre is now closed.
