Facility Closure Discovery Day August 17, 2026
Village of Carmacks is pleased to advise residents that wood chips are now available for community members to pick up at the Landfill and Recycling Centre.
The wood chips are located at the compost site.
Residents wishing to pick up wood chips are asked to please check in with the staff member working at the facility before collecting material. Pick-up is available during the Landfill and Recycling Centre’s regular operating hours.
Wood chips can be useful for landscaping, pathways, gardens, and other household projects.
A big thank you to the Village of Carmacks Public Works Department for preparing and making the wood chips available for our community members.

Village of Carmacks Council has opened Traffic Bylaw No. 307-24 for review and public feedback following discussion at the most recent Regular Council Meeting.
Residents and community members are invited to review the bylaw and provide any comments, concerns, or suggestions they may have.

Council is inviting residents and community members to provide comments, questions, and feedback on the draft plan.
Public feedback may be provided at the Regular Council Meeting:
