Position Objectives:
The Village of Carmacks is hiring one Lifeguard, the lifeguard will work under the supervision of the Pool Coordinator. Duties will include lifeguarding, enforcing pool rules and ensuring safety of pool patrons, administering first aid as required, assisting with aquatic programs and special events, ensuring cleanliness of the facility, cash handling and Pool Attendant supervision.
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Willing and able to work evenings and Saturdays
- Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of water safety and lifesaving
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
· National Lifeguard Service (NLS)
· Standard First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care Or ability to obtain
Work Conditions & Perks:
Active role (standing, lifting & pool
maintenance)
Flexible schedule (may include evenings
& weekends)
