Position Objectives:
The Village of Carmacks is hiring one Pool Attendant/ Junior Lifeguard, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment. Reporting to the Senior Lifeguard / Pool Supervisor, this role involves lifeguarding, customer service, facility upkeep, and assisting with aquatic programs.
Qualification:
- Minimum 14 years of age
- Basic Swimming ability
- Enjoy working with children and youth
Minimum Requirements:
- National Lifeguard Certification (preferred but not required)
- Standard First Aid / CPR-C / WHMIS (required)
- Swimming Instructor Certification (an asset but not mandatory)
Work Conditions & Perks:
Active role (standing, lifting & pool maintenance)
Flexible schedule (may include evenings & weekends)
NOTE:
Local candidates who can demonstrate comparable swimming ability, fitness level and first aid skills required for the position may be considered without the above certifications.
Those candidates will be trained to obtain these certifications within the first two weeks of employment or at the earliest opportunity.
